Introduction to Shift Patterns

Shift patterns are the universal means to deliver a staff supply, or deployment strategy in the workplace. Schedule24 shift patterns are used to automate and scale staff schedule production. Several shift patterns can be combined to manage the complexity of multiple work arrangements in the department or organization. There is a big difference between a shift pattern and a  staff schedule. If you are not sure you might want to check out what the differences are here.

Shift patterns are industry neutral and can be used wherever they are deemed suitable. Both week or sequence based patterns can be created and combined to manage complex workplace environments and staff deployment strategies. Shift patterns are available in both individual and management views and can be downloaded for instant use or modified to automatically generate your staff schedules.

Downloaded shift patterns (.rpn files) can only be used by Schedule24 Resource Manager and Schedule24 Duty Management Toolkit.

If you have a shift pattern you want to share with other Schedule24 users then these can be uploaded and included in the knowledgebase.

We are always keen to hear from our customers and if you want to contact us about improvements, or when you think of a useful download other Schedule24 users can benefit then we are keen to hear from you.
