Staff Vacation, Sickness and Absence

Simply recording staff vacation against a staff entitlement is insufficient. Viewing the status of team leave especially when business requirements need to be met is much more useful. Having too many people on leave at the same time may seem obvious, but being able to plan and offer alternatives can make all the difference to workplace harmony. Sickness and absence recording will also determine patterns of behaviour that require further enquiry, not only for individual members of staff but also suggest modest changes to a schedule that reduces absenteeism, for example compressed working and flexi-time.
